Last week, Software Logistics was notified that it had earned a third place win in the SOFWERX Phone-based Low-cost Unattended Ground Sensor (PLUGS) Innovation Challenge. Our entry has been open sourced at https://github.com/bytemaster-0xff/plugs.
We used a custom-built Android application to detect sound, vibration, and motion with a video camera, and could be extended with a Bluetooth-connected PIR sensor. Our solution used an application built with our IoT platform, NuvIoT, to capture and record photos taken with each phone.
While placing in the challenge was great, we are excited to report that SOFWERX has contacted Software Logistics for a meeting the week of December 12th to discuss some follow-up work based on the initial submission.
