IoT and the CrowPi with Kevin Wolf

Want to play with device and sensors sometimes called IoT but don’t know where to start? Join Kevin D. Wolf of Software Logistics as he gives you a tour of an incredible piece of technology for experimenting with IoT called the CrowPI or what we passionately nick-named the football. The football contains over a dozen sensor and other devices that are all pre-wired so you only have to write the software in your favorite language such as .NET Core, Python, NodeJS or any other language that runs on a Raspberry PI.

In this session Kevin will go through a number of sensors and displays on the device to include: temperature, a two line LCD display, IR Receiver, a Touch sensor and likely many more. As part of this Kevin will also demonstrate efficient coding techniques for Raspberry PI using modern development processes and technologies. As an added bonus we’ll show how you can create IoT devices that connect to the internet from anywhere using really cheap cellular technology.

Kevin has provided us with a copy of his presentation: https://bytemaster.blob.core.windows.net/presentations/StPete.NET.pptx

Kevin Wolf: Kevin is the founder of Software Logistics, a Tampa based IoT consulting firm. Jack of all trades, master of quite a few of them.
