## Quality Assurance Specialist * This position is for a Software Tester level professional. ## Summary Our clients expect the software we deliver, whether for our product or custom solutions, to meet their expectations. As a QA Specialist, your job is to develop and execute test plans from our expected outcomes so that our product is free of preventable defects. ## Job Location/Meetings This is a remote position. The only requirements are a stable internet connection and the ability to attend online meetings during business hours. Sometimes, you may be required to meet on-site for large design sessions. Software Logistics has two scheduled team meetings. Depending on the project, there may be additional regularly scheduled meetings. ## Key Position Traits * Be an analytical thinker and solve problems. * Regularly attend project meetings. * Complete training as necessary. * Assist the CEO with special assignments when requested. * Accurately track time in NuvIot. ## Responsibilities * Work with the client to thoroughly understand the intended business needs before development begins. * Work with the Task Lead and Business Analyst to understand the development effort and define the testing strategy. * Work with the development team and adapt the test plans to meet new requirements and/or functionality. * Create expected outcomes based on client business rules and acceptance criteria. * Develop verification steps based on expected outcomes for individual tasks. * Write test cases designed to verify usability and performance. * Test software for bugs, defects, and errors. * Create effective bug reports. * Document test plan execution results, including all test artifacts. * Effectively communicate test plan execution results to the development team. * Work with the developer to resolve any discovered issues. * Report results and provide required QA artifacts to the client once all issues are resolved. ## Requirements Previous experience in QA analysis/testing. ## Desirable Skill Sets * Experience with querying RDBMS systems. * Experience with API testing tools. * Experience with automated testing frameworks. * Experience with agile methodologies. ## What You'll Get * Driven team members from diverse backgrounds with strong company culture. * Discovery, we’re always evolving – our team members are constantly striving to learn something new, which we embrace! * Ability to have a significant impact on customer and product work. * Competitive pay. * Commuter benefits: We're fully remote! * The opportunity to work with some of the latest tech! * One of our primary offerings is modernizing clients' platforms – this means we're constantly monitoring and utilizing some of the latest technology. * Additional perks and company benefits – check our website under Company Benefits.
